經過在歐洲一年的休養生息,Richard又再次投入職場忙碌的生活。幾乎每個月都得出差一趟歐洲,雖然很辛苦,但想趁著年輕,多看看這個世界。

The " Openbare Bibliotheek ", Amsterdam Central Library, is an exceptional science and cultural hub where Richard spent most of his leisure time relaxing here. A really tranquil place in the hustle and bustle city.
美麗的阿姆斯特丹中央圖書館從建築到內部格局設計,怎麼看都像一座當代美術館,顛覆了所有傳統圖書館的樣貌。除此之外,圖書館有數量龐大的英語書籍與影音資料(當地語言是Dutch,而非English),外國人能毫.無.障.礙.地使用館中設施,借閱所有影音或書籍,真教人驚訝不已。
無論大人或小孩都能在館裡找到屬於自己的一片天地。
印象中遇到過的荷蘭人,除了官方語言Dutch之外,大多能說一口流利的英語。從這座圖書館便可以看出一些端倪。若台灣也能有這樣國際化的,像美術館一樣的現代圖書館...。
Can't believe it that there're plenty of English books and videos that Richard, as a foreigner, could enjoy it without any difficulty. Just amazing!
Richard一周繁忙緊湊的工作過後,週末就待在這兒,放鬆身心。靜心翻閱書籍時,角落裡供人隨興彈奏的鋼琴時而琴聲悠揚,真棒的地方。
Openbare Bibliotheek是繁忙城市中的一片寧靜綠洲。
On the top floor of the library, there's a cafeteria with a terrace and a fantastic view of Amsterdam.
With liberal drug laws, the gay centre, and the lively contemporary airs, Amsterdam is one of Europe's most radical cities. Strolling leisurely around the colorful houses, bridges, canalside cafes during autumn time was utterly enjoyable.

深秋的阿姆斯特丹天氣已轉涼,一天辛苦的工作之後,簡單美味的蔬菜湯,麵包和香醇的荷蘭啤酒,就能溫暖人心。不僅僅是文化的差異或與不同人種相處而已,Richard也早已習慣歐陸各國不同的飲食,無論走到哪裡都能隨遇而安,開心享用各國好酒好料理。

趁著在歐洲各處出差之際,順道拜訪住倫敦時結識的許多好朋友,真是很棒的事。回頭想想, Richard此時的歐洲旅行,其實是我們去年歐洲生活的延續。想要什麼樣的工作形態,想要過什麼樣的生活,選擇其實都在自己;只要真心喜歡,命運好像都能操之在己。而這麼多年來,我們也早已習慣在不同的文化之間優雅進出,與各人種從容相處。在見過更多人更多事之後,看事情似乎也比較能以不同的角度來檢視問題。中年的許多好處之一。

It’s really thrilling to meet dear friends Rob Farag and Jonny Wicken after work at the pub " Richard First ", Greenwich, London.
Had a great time having lunch with dearest Rita in the restaurant " The Union " in Greenwich, London and went for a walk around RoyalGreenwichPark in beautiful autumntime. Wonderful!
So happy to be warmly welcomed by dear friends Viktoria, Zsolt, Yenling and Hao-fen in a Turkish restaurant at Canary Wharf, London.
